Tutorials

So you know that you want to ride your bike ... somewhere. GREAT! That is the first step!

You may even want to go on a bicycle tour, but you aren't really sure "how" to do it or "what" to do or even what types of possibilities are out there. Where do you start? What bike do I use? Do I bring it? Ship it? Rent it? How about my phone? What clothes do I wear? Do I need those silly padded shorts? What is a GPX file??? Do I use paper maps like I am trying to figure out if the earth is round, or should I step in to the 21st century and use routing tools?

In short there are SO MANY questions, variables and possibilities!

It can get so overwhelming you may just say, forget this, I am going to the park and will do a few laps! Don't worry, everyone has to start somewhere.

My advice to you is to jump in with both feet and accept that you have a lot to learn just like everyone else who has started their journey in to cycling adventures. No one is born with this knowledge. It comes from reading, planning, mistakes and successes.

I hope that these tutorials and blogs and my tips and tricks will help you. If you see something that covered, please let me know and I will try to find a resource or write it up myself. You can contact me on social media or email me directly @ stevecyclestheworld
